During this time of great uncertainty and caution, I want to reassure you that Paramount Title Services, LLC (Paramount) continues to be open for business as we are adapting to the difficult circumstances that we are all experiencing. Recent concerns relating to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) has generated significant public attention and, changes in our settlement protocols have become necessary to ensure healthy and safe closings in the weeks and months to come. We also recognize that we play an integral role in the real estate industry and must remain open and available to handle client real estate transactions while taking precautions to protect those whose closings we handle.
Among the changes include:
➢ Hand sanitizer in all shared spaces
➢ Requiring clients to sanitize their hands as soon as they enter the office
➢ Extra disinfecting of those shared spaces after each closing
➢ Enforcing any employees and/or clients who feel ill to stay home
➢ Removing signing pens after each closing so they are not re-used
➢ And although all our clients love our bowls of individually wrapped chocolates, we are removing those from the lobby area to avoid contamination as you search thru the bowl for your favorite piece of chocolate
➢ Replacing our glass coffee cups with paper/disposable cups
➢ Removing magazines and other reading materials from our lobby
➢ Removing children’s coloring books and crayons from our lobby
➢ And, if a client has come into the office and appears sick we will move them into a separate closing room and after closing disinfect the closing room and then close that room off for 3 days.
There is a Remote Online Notary (RON) Bill that has been passed that would allow for only a minimal number of documents to signed by pen, which would limit time and contact at the closing table. We are pursuing those options to be able to offer that to our clients as well. Until then, we will follow protocols that will keep everyone as safe as possible. Our main concern is the health of our staff and clients.
On a personal note, my thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this incident. And to all our health care workers, county, state and federal officials, those in the service industry who continue to operate to make sure business continues, I want to Thank You for your service and your efforts in this difficult time. May The LORD protect us and bless us in the midst of this adversity.
